Day I
Whats good y’all! Today was the first day of the Diversity in Aquatics Convention. It is completely online and this was nice. This is the first aquatic convention I have attended whether in person or online. Not gonna lie I missed the first part of the panel but when I got settled in, the content was definitely intriguing. The Diversity in Aquatics roundtable discussed a number of topics from the history of why black people don’t swim to the LGBT+ community in aquatics. A little later in the day, Jamal Hill spoke as he was the keynote speaker. Jamal Hill is a Paralympics swimmer based out Los Angeles.
Can’t wait to see what tomorrows discussions bring!
