What’s good y’all! Yesterday I wrote about Mimi Jones, known as Mamie Ford earlier in her life. Her part of the civil rights movement in 1964 was featured in a film released several years ago. The documentary “Passage at St. Augustine: The 1964 Black Lives Matter Movement That Transformed America” was filmed by Clennon L. King and was released in 2015. Clennon highlighted the protests that happened in 1964 that led to the passing of the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964. The protests in St. Augustine was the tipping point that led the passing of that act.
Clennon is also the photographer of the photo that I posted yesterday.
