July is National UV Safety Awareness Month. The sun emits a few different types of UV rays.
They are UVA, UVB and UVC and all of them can be hazardous to your skin. The peak hours of these rays are from 10 AM to 4 PM. If you can stay out of the sun during this time frame, especially during the summer, that is the number one way to prevent any type of sun related problems. If you have to be out during this time put on sunscreen (make sure it protects against UVA/UVB rays) and don’t forget to reapply, wear protective clothing, wear accessories such as sunglasses and hats and try to stay in the shade.
